I went to CIA Language Institute in the Philippines for language study on February 1, 2026. When I first arrived, I was surprised by how luxurious the facilities were for the Philippines. Everything truly necessary was provided, including a swimming pool, gym, table tennis room, and a convenience store. The CIA has established an optimal environment for people from various countries to live together, and the numerous opportunities to speak English through one-on-one lessons were excellent for improving my speaking skills. I went on a package tour that included Oslob and Canyonering. The road to Oslob was really rough, including some off-road sections, and I remember it took about two hours. I saw a whale shark in Oslob, and it was truly beautiful. At first, I wondered why I had to go through such trouble just to see a shark, but I realized how precious an experience it is to be able to meet a whale shark up close. The waves in Oslob were a bit strong, so I was scared as I can't swim, but fortunately, the guides helped me out a lot, so I was able to take photos and have a great time. The canyonering activity was really scary. I have a fear of heights, so I had never tried any extreme activities before, but I decided to take on the challenge this time. The difficulty levels were divided into 3m, 5m, and 7m so that even beginners could enjoy it, so you didn't have to do it if you were too scared. However, since I am a man, I gritted my teeth and jumped. If you come to Cebu for a visit, I recommend trying a package tour as well.
