My language study at the CIA in Cebu was a very satisfying experience that exceeded my expectations. First, thanks to Cebu's warm weather and relaxed atmosphere, the pressure of studying was reduced, allowing me to focus on learning English with a more comfortable mindset. The CIA has a systematic curriculum that enabled me to learn speaking, listening, and grammar in a balanced way; a major advantage was the abundance of one-on-one classes, which allowed me to receive personalized feedback. The instructors were also very kind and actively encouraged student participation, making the class atmosphere lively. In addition, meeting friends of various nationalities provided many opportunities to actually use English, allowing me to communicate naturally in English even outside of class. The dormitory facilities and meals were generally clean and satisfactory, and I was able to recharge on weekends through island hopping and sightseeing. However, the occasional slow internet speed was somewhat disappointing, though it did not significantly affect the overall experience. It was a very meaningful time where I was able to not only improve my English skills but also experience a new culture and build confidence.
