I’m Yosselin. This March, I decided to treat myself to a productive “study-cation” at CIA (Cebu International Academy) in the Philippines. I’m currently enrolled in the TOEIC program because I’ll need those scores for my future career.
Honestly, I thought daily vocabulary drills and practice tests would be a total grind. But once I got here, I realized the campus has such a relaxing, resort-like vibe that it actually turned study pressure into motivation! The school’s orientation and placement tests were very well-organized, which helped me settle into my new routine quickly.
The best part, though, has been the people. We all come from different professional backgrounds and are headed in different directions in life, yet we all crossed paths here. I truly believe it’s fate! We hit up local spots for delicious food after class and swap stories about our lives. Having a group of friends to work hard with is so much more effective than studying alone at home.
During my time in Cebu, I haven't just felt my English skills improving—I’ve also made some incredible friends. If you’re looking for a place to level up your English, meet people from all over the world, and experience island life, I highly recommend coming here!
