While staying in Cebu, Philippines for language studies, I took a short break to travel to Palawan. I never imagined I would travel with friends I made during my studies, but it was fun to spend time together and converse in English all day long. Since Palawan is frequented more by Westerners and local Filipinos than Koreans, I think it would be a memorable experience for any Korean visiting. The sea seemed to be the clearest and cleanest in the Philippines, and I liked that there were no jellyfish. I went on an island hopping tour, and the locals on the boat took such good care of me; their kindness will remain in my memory for a long time. The time spent exploring the small islands during the tour was particularly memorable, and kayaking across the sea felt like a scene from a movie. In the evening, I had dinner with friends and made memories exploring El Nido. I also enjoyed staying at an Airbnb, as it was great to be able to laugh and chat together with everyone. Traveling to Palawan with new people in an unfamiliar place was more than just sightseeing; it was a wonderful experience. It is a travel destination I would love to visit again someday.
