Studying abroad at CIA was a valuable experience that not only improved my English skills but also broadened my horizons. In particular, the IELTS course was the first time I was able to tackle serious exam preparation, and I was able to train my four English skills (listening, reading, writing, and speaking) in a well-balanced way. Classes were held from morning to night, and each class was 45 minutes long, with one-on-one and group classes, allowing for intensive learning. The group classes were optional, and it was also attractive that I could take classes that suited my weaknesses. For example, if I wanted to improve my speaking skills, I could take a discussion class, and if I wanted to improve my writing, I could take an essay writing class. I was able to study according to my individual needs. In particular, in the one-on-one classes, I was able to focus on my weak areas, so I was able to effectively improve my skills even in a short period of time. In the speaking classes, I repeatedly practiced expressing my opinions logically, and my ability to express myself in English improved. In the writing classes, I acquired the ability to construct sentences while being conscious of the essay structure, and in the listening and reading classes, I was able to not only get used to the format of the exam, but also train my ability to accurately understand even the smallest details. In addition, the teachers at CIA were very friendly and always eager to teach me, so it was an environment where I could actively ask questions. My classmates were also from various countries, and many of them were good people, so I was able to expand my circle of relationships by actively talking to them. In particular, the many opportunities to converse in English between classes and after school were very helpful in improving my practical English skills. Thanks to this environment, I have developed an awareness of viewing English not simply as something to study, but as something to actually use. In the future, I would like to use this experience to further utilize English in practical situations. I aim to work overseas as a freelancer in the future, and the English skills and experience I gained during this study abroad program have been a big step toward achieving that goal. I would definitely recommend CIA to anyone considering studying abroad in the Philippines. With high quality lessons and a Spartan environment, it is the perfect place for those who are serious about improving their English skills. In particular, even those who are taking IELTS for the first time can study with confidence because effective learning methods have been established. Another big attraction is that you can improve your practical English skills as well as prepare for exams through interactions with teachers and classmates. Through studying abroad at CIA, I was not only able to learn English, but also to develop the ability to express myself in English. I would like to continue to treasure this experience and build a career that utilizes English in the future.
