Coming to the Philippines for language study wasn't just about learning English; it was a diverse experience. I visited many tourist destinations with my friends, and among them, the most memorable was visiting historical sites. Seeing old churches and Spanish colonial architecture, I was able to experience firsthand the complex history, culture, and religion of the Philippines, and also gain a deeper understanding of its architectural style. I also visited a famous aquarium, where I was able to see a variety of tropical fish and marine life up close, which was truly fascinating. Seeing species of fish and numerous marine creatures swimming around, something I'd never seen in Korea, was a truly rewarding experience. Finally, I visited an observatory in Cebu, where the panoramic views of the Philippines were truly impressive. Furthermore, meeting people from various countries during my trip taught me a lot, not just about language. These experiences went beyond simple tourism, giving me a deeper understanding of the Philippines as a country, and left me with unforgettable memories not only during my language study abroad but also for the rest of my life.
