I studied English at CIA for three months.

At first, I was extremely anxious about coming because I could hardly speak any English. However, I quickly realized that people from other nationalities were facing the same struggle, which reassured me that I wasn’t alone. Because we all shared the same worries, it was easy to become friends, and now I even feel glad that I had those struggles—it brought us closer.

CIA is home to people from all walks of life—not only from different nationalities but also across a wide age range, from young adults to older learners. It was a great experience to become friends with people who have gone through such diverse life experiences and to be able to talk and learn from them.

In terms of English learning, the quality of the teachers was excellent. Even if I didn’t connect well with a particular teacher, there was a well-established system that allowed for quick changes, so I could focus on my studies without worry. There was also a self-study space called the library, which made it easy to study independently as well.

As for my progress in English, I had studied a bit of grammar and vocabulary before coming, so I could manage some reading and listening, but I couldn’t speak at all. After studying at CIA for three months, I wouldn’t say I became fluent enough to speak with native speakers, but I did improve to the point where I could communicate with people who speak English as a second language. My personal goal was to become fluent because I’m planning to go on a working holiday to Australia. While I may not have fully achieved that goal, I’ve overcome the fear of speaking with foreigners, and I definitely feel a strong sense of growth.

If you’re someone who’s interested in attending a language school, I think choosing the right school is important—but even more important is the duration of your stay. From my experience, there was a noticeable difference between those who stayed for more than three months and those who stayed for less. So, if you’re considering enrolling, I strongly recommend staying for at least three months.

Lastly, CIA has great facilities and a balanced student environment. Most students had a good sense of when to have fun and when to study, so if you’re someone who wants to enjoy both aspects—study and leisure—I think CIA is the perfect school for you.

Although I mentioned I stayed for three months, I honestly felt like I wanted to stay even longer. So if you’re thinking about coming to CIA, I can confidently recommend it.

Let me know if you’d like a more casual or formal tone for any specific part!
