Spending three weeks at Cebu International Academy (CIA) was a truly fulfilling experience that helped me grow both in English proficiency and as an individual. Although it was a short stay, the time I spent there was incredibly intense and meaningful.
Before going to CIA, I had many concerns about my English skills. Even daily conversations felt challenging, and I wasn’t sure if I could really improve. However, as soon as I started my life at CIA, those worries quickly disappeared. One of the most impressive aspects of the program was the number of one-on-one classes. These personalized lessons matched my level perfectly and gave me the chance to ask questions freely and learn at my own pace. I appreciated that the teachers were not only friendly and cheerful but also deeply committed to helping students improve. This supportive environment made it easy for me to stay motivated and confident throughout my stay.
The curriculum at CIA was well-structured and covered all four essential skills: listening, speaking, reading, and writing. What I found especially useful were the activities that encouraged us to express our own thoughts in English. When I first arrived, I could barely speak, but after three weeks, I was able to hold smooth daily conversations. I felt that my English ability had tripled compared to the first day—at least based on my own impression.
Beyond the classroom, CIA provided a comfortable and well-balanced environment for daily life. One of my favorite facilities was the on-campus gym. It was well-equipped for strength training, and I found it very helpful for maintaining both physical and mental health. Being able to work out after classes or on weekends helped me relieve stress and stay focused on my studies. This balance between learning and living contributed greatly to the overall positive experience.
Living and studying in a different culture also gave me a new perspective. Interacting with people from different backgrounds and adapting to a new environment helped me grow not just as a student, but also as a person. I gained confidence, independence, and a broader view of the world.
Looking ahead, I hope to make the most of the skills and international mindset I gained at CIA. My experience has inspired me to consider working abroad in the future. I believe that learning English is not just about mastering a language, but also about opening doors to new opportunities and experiences.
For anyone who is serious about learning English, wants to see progress in a short period, or is looking for a meaningful personal challenge, CIA is the perfect place. I truly believe that choosing this school was one of the best decisions I have ever made. Though it was only three weeks, the experience and knowledge I gained will remain with me for a lifetime.
