I've been interested in going abroad for a long time and had been considering going on a working holiday. However, since I couldn't speak English at all, I decided to study English in the Philippines before going on a working holiday. 

The reason I chose CIA is that the percentage of Japanese students is low, so I thought it would be an environment where I would have to speak English as much as possible. Also, the atmosphere of the facilities was very good. There is also an EOP (English Only Policy) system where you are fined if you speak your native language, which I found very interesting. I think CIA is highly recommended for those considering studying abroad. 

My two months in the Philippines were completely different from life in Japan. It took some time to get used to not being able to flush toilet paper, not being able to drink tap water, and the different food. However, I loved the friendly nature of the people living in Cebu and the great weather. I made many friends and got to know many teachers, and I plan to stay in touch when I return to Cebu or travel abroad. 

Although I'm sad to leave Cebu, I am going to Australia next. I will work hard to further improve the English skills I developed at CIA. Before coming to CIA, I couldn't speak English at all. The last time I studied it was in high school, which was more than ten years ago. I wish I had reviewed a bit more before coming to CIA. Now, my listening and speaking skills have improved, and I can speak with a certain level of confidence.

Ultimately, I hope to become even more fluent so that I can work abroad or use English in my career in Japan. I really think coming to CIA was a great decision. If I have the opportunity, I would like to come back to study again.
